License-Free Fishing in Florida for Two Weekends!

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering an exciting opportunity to all enthusiastic anglers! The first two weekends of June are free fishing weekends where license-free fishing is permitted.

When and Where?

The first weekend of June (June 1-2) offers saltwater fishing without any license. The second weekend (June 8-9) is designated for freshwater fishing. Both residents and visitors of Florida can take part in this opportunity.

Size and Bag Limitations

Normal size and bag limits remain in effect during these free fishing weekends. Therefore, while taking part in this activity, you must adhere to the rules and regulations of FWC. License-free fishing is a great chance to get introduced to the sport, have fun and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather.

Annual License Costs

If you enjoy fishing and want to make it your hobby, then an annual license for saltwater or freshwater fishing is a must-have. For residents, the annual license fee is $17 each. Non-residents, on the other hand, will have to pay $47 for an annual license.
