The sailing conditions were excellent, and the wind conditions had a strong breeze clocking from 330º, starting at 12 knots, which was building up to 18 knots by the second race. All fleets successfully completed two races today. The sailors represent 49 countries rather than just 41 to correct the information from yesterday’s press release. The first race day provided an excellent showcase of the warm hospitality of Viana do Castelo. This week, the sailors look forward to continuing the qualifying races in this picturesque coastal city.
